About me
Hi, I'm Tristan King
I help growing businesses bring everything into one simple app, built around the way they already work.
I've spent over ten years building and looking after the systems businesses rely on, so I know how much time you get back when the tools finally fit. You work with me directly from start to finish: the same person who designs it, builds it and looks after it.
I'm based in Chelmsford and work with businesses across Essex and online.
The idea
Everything in one place
As a business grows, the work spreads out: a spreadsheet here, emails there, bits of paper everywhere. It still works, there's just more to keep on top of, in more places.
I bring it together into one simple app, built around how you already work, so it's all in one place and easy to stay on top of.

What I can build
Apps built around how you work
Off-the-shelf tools make you fit around them. I do the opposite, and build the app around how you already work. A few examples:
Job & order tracking
Keep every job, case or order in one place, instead of a shared spreadsheet.
Scheduling & job diary
See who's doing what and when, in place of paper diaries and wall planners.
Stock & catalogue
Stock levels, ordering and product lists that stay up to date on their own.
Quotes & invoicing
Create quotes and invoices straight from the details you already hold.
Reports from the field
Turn the notes and photos taken on site into clean, finished reports.
Documents & certificates
Produce certificates, compliance documents and paperwork at the press of a button.
Customer records
Contacts, history and notes together in one place, not scattered across inboxes.
Works with your accounts
Send jobs and invoices straight to Sage, Xero or QuickBooks, instead of typing them twice.
Replace an old database
Move an ageing Access system into something modern that works anywhere.

Common questions
Questions you might have
Will I own it?
Yes, it's yours, in your name, and built so you're never tied to me.
What if I want changes later?
That's normal and expected. Small fixes are included; anything new I'll price up front before doing it, so you're always in control of what you spend.
Do I have to change how I work?
No. I build around the way you already work: same routine, just quicker and smoother.
Who looks after it once it's live?
I do. I keep it online, backed up and up to date for a simple monthly fee, so you never have to think about it.
What will I use it on?
Laptop, phone or tablet, on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android. Most apps open in the browser with nothing to install. And when you need a proper mobile app, one that works offline or out on the road, I build those too.

Let's talk
If you'd like your business running a bit more smoothly, I'd love to hear what you're juggling. No pressure, just a friendly chat to see if I can help.
How it's built
Web apps are built with Next.js, and when you need a proper mobile app, one that works offline or out on the road, I build native apps with Flutter, all backed by a PostgreSQL database and hosted reliably with regular backups. It's yours, in your name, and built so you're never tied to one person.
